When tendering waste, the forms to be downloaded via this website can be used. Please see this website for our current rates and conditions. The waste material tendered to and accepted by COVRA is subsequently collected by COVRA. The transfer of ownership of the waste take places upon its actual transfer; the time at which the loading of the tank-trailer is completed. From this moment on, COVRA is the owner of the waste material, and is thereby responsible for it.
Because COVRA is responsible for different, successive components of the waste management chain it can take the various requirements made in connection with the transportation, processing, storage and geological disposal into account at the beginning of the chain when accepting the radioactive waste. In order to tender waste material in the best and most economic way, it is important to understand why COVRA has determined different waste criteria. The Orange Booklet explains the background of our acceptance criteria for radioactive waste.
